5. Better communication/presentation techniques and better relations with people
It is impossible to make yourself a million dollars / euros alone, without the participation of others. You can strive to be dependent on fewer people, however, to completely exclude all people and make money – it’s impossible. Simply, you must cooperate with someone. And not just for the money. Life is beautiful when you have relationships that fill you with joy. History is full of people who gained their wealth directly or indirectly through strong communication skills, presentation skills and charisma. When you become better with presentation of your ideas and opinions to other people, you will be more satisfied with your life, and you will earn money in any field.
Earlier in my life, I thought I was born with a certain level of communication skills and I will be at that level until the end of my life. However, I realized that communication is a skill that you CAN LEARN. So I began to constantly improve my communication skills. It took time to get out of the old pattern, but the results were great!
How to build your communication and presentation skills? Your first step should be to read a book “How to Win Friends and Influence People“ by Dale Carnegie. This is probably one of the first book in the self-help field. And it is great! When I read this book for the first time it changed my understanding of communication. Here you can find a summary of this book.
Let’s take a look at other resources that will help you to master the skills of communication and presentation.

5.3. Better relations with people
Better relations with people is a set of communication techniques that aims to influence other people and cause a positive impression. Here I will not put a useful resources, but I can say that you can find useful information on developing these skills on many books on sales (as, for example, Zig Ziglar book “Selling 101: What Every Successful Sales Professional Needs to Know”) along with the already mentioned book by Dale Carnegie, “Public Speaking and Influencing Men In Business” and “How to Win Friends and Influence People”. These are the only basis, while you’re researching these things, you will find authors, books and websites that you personally prefer.
6. Learning About Money ; Investing and Real Estate
The game of money is simple. Who has the most knowledge wins over the one who has no knowledge. Only one information more (or less) can make a huge difference in your wallet. Therefore, you must know a lot, and you must be in the company of people who already know a lot. People such as lawyers, accountants, investors… One of my goals in the future will be to put together a team of experts on finance.
I suggest that you start to learn about money from the excellent Rich Dad Series of books, starting from Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter. This is excellent reading for the beginning of your transformation into a millionaire. Since I read this series of books, a huge change in my mind occurred. I started to understand money much differently than before. I recommend that you start with these books because they are (more or less) easy and interesting to read. At least, they are easier to read than other similar books.
After these books, you have a lot of useful books on economics, entrepreneurship, law, and other issues, that can improve your knowledge about money.
You must understand many things, from the basics of economics and investment to how to establish new company, if you want a million dollars. In any other case, without the knowledge you will be eaten by the “big fish” that has invested the time and money to learn what you did not.
Here are some useful resources to learn something new about the money:
1. Wikinvest
Wiki is a place where people gather to write articles that explain some topic. Surely you have heard somewhere about the Wikipedia website, the most famous wiki-type website. Wikinvest is investment research wiki. This is a great website with a vast collection of articles. You have a section Money School section where you can learn a lot about investing and money, especially good for beginners. Same as many other sections where you can learn a lot if you’re interested….
2. Blog at Mint.com
This is a great blog where you can learn a lot about money. I’ve heard good things about Mint.com online money management website in my research about the money, but I am not U.S. citizen so I could not sign up on their site. Nevermind, this blog is a great source of information about money.
3. 30 Free eBooks To Learn Everything You Want to Know About Personal Finance from Mint.com
I had to mention this separately because it is a great source of information. Really great post, lot of information, you’ll learn a lot.
4. Credit.com
On this site you can learn everything you want to know about your credit card. This is probably the most famous site on the issue.
5. Trulia
Trulia is real estate search website, you can use it to find (or at least start the quest) for the best offers. A very clear site with plenty of information.
6. Beginner’s Investing from About.com
If you are a beginner in investing, you want to make sure you have a lot of clear information. If so, view this site.
7. Economist.com
If you are, for some reason, interested in world business affairs, on Economist.com you can find analysis of these events.
8. Seeking Alpha
Seeking Alpha is website for all interested in the stock market opinion and analysis. A good source of information for stock research.
9. Franchise:
A large percentage of businesses in the world is based on the franchise. So here we mention some basic information about the franchise:
- Franchise How-To Guides - If you are interested in buying a franchise, this is a great guide to the franchise business.
- Facts for Consumers for buying a franchise -
- IFA (International Franchise Association) - You must visit this site if you are interested in buying a franchise.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. You must learn more if you want success. Not only that, but you must also hire people who know more than you in certain areas. Do not worry, it will be paid off. After all, the game of money is in large part game of the mind, not the game of mechanics.
Except knowledge from books and websites, more important is practical knowledge. And this knowledge is collected by the method of trial and error. So I prepared myself to a lot of mistakes in the future.
Try a lot of ideas, and then pick a best for you. This is the game of life.
