What Everybody Ought to Know About Self-Confidence — Part 2
This is the second part of the article “What Everybody Ought to Know About Self-Confidence” and here we talk about what is and is not self-confidence. This will help people who want to know something about self-confidence. Enjoy.
Self-confidence is one of the most important tools for personal growth. I’ll say it again and again.
Or, let’s say it this way: To succeed, massive action must be taken. In order to take massive action you must have determination like machine. And to have determination, we must have self-confidence. You must have faith in yourself even when you are in bad conditions and do not have enough information.
What is Self-Confidence
1. Self-confidence is belief that you will stay mentally strong in a situation (or get out of it, or solve it) no matter how tricky it is. However, it is positive and realistic view on yourself, your situations, actions and so on.
2. Self-confidence is a tool that you need to establish a solid and successful relationships with others.
3. Self-confidence means that we examine the challenges of the world around us. Not to hide and be afraid of failure.
4. Self-confidence means you want to live according to your wishes.
5. The belief that you will achieve your goals.
6. Loving yourself no matter what.
7. Ability to resist the people who perform Psychological manipulation on you.
8. Remain calm and focused in difficult situations.
What is lack of self confidence?
1. Self-pressure that everything must be perfect.
2. Feeling of shyness. Feeling of fear and discomfort in social situations, especially with new people.
3. The need to satisfy all the people around you.
4. Guilt because of the past.
5. Fear of the future. Deep pessimism.
6. Fear of failure.
7. Behavior based on other people beliefs and recommendations. Overestimating others their beliefs, ideas and views.
8. Negative feelings. Depressive thoughts about the world.
9. The belief that we are NOT capable. The belief that we will not succeed. Dependence on others.
10. Anger.
11. Hatred of your body and physical appearance.
Self-confidence is not the same for all human beings.
Specific age
1. Self-confidence is important at any age.
2. It does not matter whether you are a child, teenager, adult, or you belong to an older population, without self-confidence you will not have a good quality of life.
3. Children are vulnerable beings. They are just beginning to understand the world and completely believe everything adults say.
4.Therefore, be careful how you speak to children. Be sure to not label them like “You’re stupid.”
5. If you did not have self-confidence as a child, you CAN have it today. The past does not conditioned to change, change your path right at the moment.
6. Older people also have their own level of self-confidence.
Certain areas of life
1. Self-confidence is not the same at any time and any place. Self-confidence may be more or less emphasized in certain circumstances, times, people, controlled by your choice…
2. You can have self-confidence in holding public speeches, and at the same time a lack of self-confidence with girls.
3. You can be confident in sports and acting, and at the same time be less confident in the presence of important people.
4.Also, an important event in your life can strengthen or weaken your self-confidence.
5. For example, a large event like a divorce may weaken your confidence, or an event such as the conclusion of large contract in the company can increase your self-confidence.
6. However, self-confidence is learned and developed. You can (and should) improve the level of self-confidence in all areas of life.

Hi Marko,
I like that you point out in this article how you can be confident in one area and insecure in another. This is a complex issue as with many of the problems we struggle with daily. The complexities are so much so that a divorce can cause one person to feel insecure while for someone else it can enhance their confidence. This is a paradox issue to say the least. I am looking forward to the next addition.
Regards,
Sandra
Hi Sandra, great to see you here…
Yes, life is full with contradictions… Thank you very much for the comment, just now, as I write this, I read your new blog post
Hi Marco,
Quite a nice blog you got here. Thanks for stopping by at my blog so I can know you more.
I agree, self confidence is the key to everything we may do in life, work and with family and friends. More positive you feel, more confidence you will have.
I am going to check out part 1 of this series now!
Hi Zengirl I am glad you stopped by and commented here.
I like your blog. I read a few articles, and they are not bad at all.
Marko: Great post. You really explained well what we all should be aiming for when it comes to self confidence. I also thought you made such an important point that self confidence can and should be learned and developed. It is easy to fall into the trap of thinking that self confidence is something we either have or don’t have, but the reality is that we really can work at it and strengthen it overtime. A very important realization … thanks for sharing it.
Hi Sybil, thank you for the comment…
